Apple Watch holdouts should get excited about this deal on the Series 1.
For $159 you can purchase a 38mm Apple Watch Series 1 (or $189 for the 42mm). For that price you’ll also get an extra band. This is a really good deal considering an extra band normally runs about $40 (or more) and Apple still charges $249 for the Series 1 wearable.
Things to note: This older version of the Apple Watch does not have GPS or LTE but it will have slightly better performance than the original Series 1 models thanks to an upgraded chip. These older models are only splash and water resistant — so no swimming or showering with it on.
These (slightly better) older models will also be updated in the fall. WatchOS 5 updates include fitness improvements, a more customizable Siri, better notifications and walkie-talkie mode.
It’s unclear how long this deal will last.
