Garmin adds music to its Vívoactive 3 lineup

Garmin’s Vívoactive 3 is already a great option for the those looking to buy a stylish fitness-friendly smartwatch without compromising on battery life. Wednesday, though, the company has announced a new addition to the Vívoactive family: the Vívoactive 3 Music.

The new model has the same features first introduced on the Vívoactive 3 — like a heart rate sensor, GPS tracking, built-in apps, and tracking on a range of sports and activities — but adding Music may give users some extra motivation to get through the last few miles.

Vívoactive 3 Music will have room to store up to 500 songs. Users will also be able to download offline music playlists from select music streaming services: iHeartRadio and (coming soon) Deezer. Users may also choose to transfer music directly from a computer to the watch. Unfortunately, Spotify is not supported (yet).

After your music is loaded, listening is as simple as pairing the Vívoactive 3 Music to your Bluetooth headphones. Then all you have to do is get out there and sweat.

“Music can be a huge motivating component of any workout or activity, and we’re excited to give our customers the ability to ditch and listen to their favorite songs right from their wrist,” said Dan Bartel, Garmin vice president of global consumer sales.

And just in case you like to stop for a treat after your workout, the Vívoactive 3 Music also features Garmin Pay for contactless payments. So, you can leave your wallet at home, too.

The Vívoactive 3 Music comes with a black silicone standard 20mm quick release band. The price tag is $299.99. It is available now.

Accessory bands in different sizes are also available to buy separately for $29.99. Want to check out the whole Vívoactive 3 smartwatch family? Go to Garmin.com/vivo.
