Right now on Apple’s education website, the company is offering a great deal on professional editing software for Mac.
The bundle, which includes Final Cut Pro X, Logic Pro X, Motion 5, Compressor 4, and MainStage 3, is being sold for $199.99. To put into perspective how much of a steal this is — normally Final Cut Pro X (by itself) costs $299.99.
If you have an interest in video production or audio engineering, having these powerful tools could be a great asset in the short or long term.
I checked with the Apple store to see if teacher or student status is verified at checkout for this education bundle and the answer appears to be maybe.
Another plus, there’s no shipping cost for this purchase. Apple says it will email the purchaser product keys that can be input to its App Store. That said, a strong internet connection will be a plus during the download and install process.
It’s not clear how long this discounted bundle will be in the app store. Though I can tell you from personal experience, knowledge with programs like these are very valuable in the current job market.
